Farmers are always looking for new tools and technologies that can improve the sustainability of their operation. One new tool that has received considerable attention recently is known as "biodegradable plastic mulch film", or biofilm.
Whether biofilm is a good fit for a particular farming operation depends on its soils and climate. It won't be the right fit for all farms, but on many it can be a valuable asset to enhance the sustainability.
Having polled the CNG membership and looked carefully into the issue, we are recommending that biofilm be allowed in CNG operations, with some restrictions.
