ManageMyMarket Adds CNG to Vendor Applications

Hundreds of Certified Naturally Grown farmers participate in farmers markets that utilize the MangeMyMarket software for vendor registration, sales, invoices and reports, but until recently, it wasn’t possible for them to select their certification when registering as a vendor or creating their online profiles. We’re thrilled to announce that in January of this year, ManageMyMarket decided to offer Certified Naturally Grown as one of two sustainable designations (the other is Organic) in their vendor application! 

This all came to be when Aly, our Marketing Services Coordinator, was recruiting farmers markets to recognize CNG and join our Markets Directory. She noticed that many farmers markets embed ManageMyMarket vendor profiles, product searches and market maps on their websites. While organic farms were easy to identify with bold ‘organic’ lettering on their profiles, Certified Naturally Grown farms were not. Aly reached out to Stuart Milstead at ManageMyMarket to find out if CNG could be included as an option when farmers are applying as a vendor and selecting their certification type. The entire team at ManageMyMarket immediately responded, and made plans to add CNG to the vendor application.

We’re proud to announce that Certified Naturally Grown farmers can now show their #CNGpride in two more places--their market profile and the market map, which farmers markets typically publish on their websites. Below is an example of how the profile will spotlight CNG growers. 


With the help of Stuart of ManageMyMarket, we learned more about the history and goals of this farmers market software.

Q: When was Manage My Market created?

A: Manage My Market was created in 2008 by Will Goldring (owner of MMM) in response to Portland Farmers' Market's need for an online application.

Q: What regions are you working in, and how many markets subscribe to your service?

A: We are most present in the greater Portland metro area as well as the greater Washington D.C. metro area. We currently work with 507 total markets.

Q: What is your vision for Manage My Market in the next 5 years?

A: My vision for Manage My Market over the next 5 years is to expand the software to all states and all provinces of Canada. With the growth of technology being exponential and only pushing forward, there is no reason that Manage My Market won't serve more than 1,000 markets in that time.

Q: What do you love most about your work with ManageMyMarket?

A: My favorite part about managing this software is the people. I can't describe how fortunate I am to have the opportunity to speak with market managers, farmers and other vendors across the country 7 days a week. I couldn't be happier.
